The Private Hospital Data Bureau (PHDB) data collection is a legislated data collection of de-identified information for all separations in private hospitals and day facilities. The data is collected and then submitted to the Department of Health and Aged Care, who in turn supplies de-identified information on all private hospital separations to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).
